Scouting Provides Lifelong Benefits
The values and skills Scouts learn in Scouting lasts a lifetime. Scouting America:
Provides youth with an opportunity to try new things;
Provides service to others;
Builds self-confidence;
Reinforces ethical standards; and
Develops leadership skills.
These opportunities not only help them when they are young, but carry forward into their adult lives, improving their relationships, their work lives, their family lives, and the values by which they live.
